NASA to Host Virtual Artemis Webinar for the Blind and Low-Vision Community

NASA will host a webinar via Zoom at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, titled “The RS-25 Engine and the Future of Artemis Missions: An Accessible Webinar for the Blind and Low-Vision Community.” The public event will be aimed particularly at blind and low-vision participants and will last approximately two hours. The program will include an audio-described video of an RS-25 engine test, a question-and-answer session with an Artemis engineer, and a panel on accessibility in space and science. The participants will be Dr. Kimberly Arcand, Josh Greiner, Dr. Craig Moore, Dr. Robert Shelton, and Christine Malec. Those wishing to attend must RSVP via the form by Friday, Sept. 25. Details will be emailed to registered participants. Questions may be sent to thalia.k.patrinos@nasa.gov. The Artemis program aims to explore the Moon and establish a base on the lunar surface.

Why it matters
