Lexus has unveiled the facelifted version of the 4.69-meter NX. The SUV now features a new grille, redesigned LED headlights, a “double L” rear design, and an illuminated Lexus logo. The F Sport version comes standard with 20-inch twin-spoke wheels and red brake calipers.
The battery in the plug-in hybrid NX 450h+ has been increased from 18 kWh to 23 kWh, while total output has risen from 292 horsepower to 307 horsepower. Its WLTP electric range now reaches 100 kilometers, while charging from 10% to 80% with DC fast charging takes approximately 30 minutes. The output of the NX 350h remains unchanged at 199 horsepower. The cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch multimedia display. The price of the new NX in Türkiye has not yet been announced.
Why it matters
The main focus of the updates is to strengthen the plug-in hybrid option’s differentiation within the product range by increasing the NX 450h+’s electric driving capacity and charging performance. The electric range and fast-charging time change the criteria for those who want to use the vehicle solely on electric power for longer periods in daily driving. By contrast, the unchanged output of the NX 350h indicates that the main distinction between the two hybrid versions will be their battery and charging features. The exterior design and large screens in the cabin also demonstrate that the facelift is not limited to mechanical components, with the model’s appearance and user interface updated as well. The fact that the price in Türkiye has not been announced leaves the local market implications of these technical updates uncertain for now.
