Sezgin Lüle shared his assessments of İşCep’s shopping agent and the future of payments. The assessments were made at Webrazzi Summit 2026. Speaking at the session “The New State of Payment: From Card to Invisible Experience,” moderated by Arda Kutsal, İş Bankası Deputy General Manager Sezgin Lüle described the smart shopping agent integrated into İşCep. Payment was the focus of the talk. Running on Pazarama infrastructure, the agent allows users to express their needs by speaking and then receive product recommendations, moving from product discovery and cart processes to the payment stage. User habits are still forming. Lüle noted that it is not yet clear whether e-commerce platforms or AI companies will take the lead.
Lüle shared the data. Maximum has reached 12 million customers and accessed more than 600 thousand member merchants. It also collaborates with over 35 brands. New bank partnerships will be announced. In its 25th year, Maximum Mobil simplified card transactions and campaigns within the app and made it easier for users to move into shopping. Initial feedback is positive.
Contactless usage is still dominant. In Turkey, 9 out of every 10 transactions are contactless, while the preference for physical cards continues and QR’s share of turnover remains at around 10 percent. Mobile contactless usage is limited. Lüle said that interest in stablecoins is growing and that İş Bankası is participating in international consortium efforts. Lüle raised the topics of phishing and fraud. He emphasized that trust is critical.
