Anthropic has established a biology research laboratory for physical experiments in the San Francisco Bay Area. Head of Life Sciences Eric Kauderer-Abrams emphasized the importance of real laboratory experiments in biology research.
The laboratory’s areas of work were not disclosed. It was stated that Anthropic is exploring the use of its Claude to control robots for scientific experiments, but that automation is at an early stage and requires human oversight.
