US-based Lightfield, which develops an AI-powered CRM platform, has raised $47 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, Greylock, Maverick Capital, Audacious and Alumni Ventures also participated in the round. Founded by Keith Peiris and Henri Liriani in 2025, the company will use the investment to develop and expand its platform.
Lightfield automatically collects and structures customer interactions from tools such as email, calendars, Slack and LinkedIn. Using this data, the platform creates an up-to-date model of customers, sales opportunities, risks and next steps, while supporting AI agents in meeting preparation, sales analysis, follow-up emails and filling in missing CRM data.
Why it matters
This development raises the prospect of handling information scattered across different communication channels in a more organized and continuously updated structure for customer relationship management. This could particularly affect workflows in sales processes that rely on tracking tasks, opportunities and potential risks one by one after customer meetings. By assigning AI agents roles in tasks such as meeting preparation and follow-up, the platform aims to transform CRM from a tool used solely for record-keeping into a layer that accompanies day-to-day sales activities. At the same time, it remains unclear how complete and accurate a customer model can be created from data automatically collected from different sources, and how this model will be used in teams’ decision-making processes.
Background
CRM is not a new name in the FikirPilot archive: we published a news article mentioning it in the last 90 days; that article is dated August 27, 2026.
