Israel- and Netherlands-based artificial intelligence startup Wonderful raised $550 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners. The company’s valuation more than doubled, rising from $2 billion about six months ago to $5 billion. Existing investors Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Bessemer Venture Partners participated in the round again, while Salesforce invested in the company for the first time.

Founded in early 2025, Wonderful initially grew through its customer service AI agent platform, which it tailored to non-English-speaking markets. The company, which deploys engineering teams on-site to integrate the platform into customers’ workflows and systems, says it now operates in more than 35 countries.

In recent months, Wonderful has expanded its focus beyond customer service to a platform called “Wonderful AI OS.” According to the company, the platform can connect and coordinate AI agents, workflows and applications with organizations’ data, context and existing integrations. It is said to work with any AI model and be compatible with existing technology infrastructure. CTO and co-founder Roey Lalazar said customers can select the components they need, use suitable models for different workloads and retain ownership of what they build. The new funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand on-site engineering teams and meet demand.

Why it matters

Wonderful’s shift from a customer service-focused product to a broader platform aimed at managing organizations’ different AI agents and workflows alongside their existing systems could change the company’s growth trajectory. Its emphasis on model selection and compatibility with existing technology infrastructures responds to organizations’ efforts to add AI applications to their business processes without completely replacing the systems they use. However, how transferable the experience gained in customer service is to different workloads, and how the platform will meet the data and integration needs of various organizations, remain open questions. The allocation of the new funding to product development and the expansion of on-site engineering teams shows that this transition is linked not only to software development but also to installation and customization capacity.

Term: agent

An AI agent is software that calls tools and carries out multistep tasks to achieve a goal rather than generating a single response.
