Mercedes-Benz Türk’s new CEO, Heiko Selzam, said in remarks at the IAA Transportation 2026 trade fair in Germany that electric truck production at the Aksaray facility would depend on market demand. He said the electric truck could be produced in Türkiye if sufficient demand and favorable market conditions emerged.
According to Selzam, 7 out of every 10 trucks produced and exported from Türkiye roll off the production line at Mercedes-Benz Türk’s Aksaray factory.
