Netflix has renewed Tires, the comedy series created by Shane Gillis, for a 4th season. Created by Shane Gillis, John McKeever and Steve Gerben, the series follows the troubled employees of an auto repair shop chain called Valley Forge. The production began as an independent project, with its pilot episode released on YouTube in 2019; the trio produced the 6-episode first season themselves in Pennsylvania. Netflix acquired the streaming rights to the series in 2024 and took over production of the subsequent seasons.
The series stars Gillis, Steve Gerben, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church. The decision came after the 3rd season climbed to No. 5 on Netflix’s English-language series list, drawing attention as the series surpassed 45 million views across three seasons since 2024. Gillis and McKeever also signed a deal with Netflix for new series and film projects; Gillis will prepare two stand-up specials. “It’s great to be making another season,” Gillis said of the new season. In July, Gillis broke a Guinness record by selling 76 thousand 212 tickets and set another record with an audience of 73 thousand 946 people.
