GSYH calendar
Kyrgyzstan’s economy is growing rapidly, driven by trade flows reshaped by the Russia-Ukraine war and infrastructure investments. GSYH grew by 11% last year and by 11% year on year in the first 8 months of 2026. The Asian Development Bank attributes 30-40% of the growth over the past 4 years to re-exports.
Adylbek’s trajectory
Gold, crypto, finance and public construction spending are also supporting growth.
Prime Minister Adylbek Kasımaliyev said industrial production and tax collection had increased; approximately 1500 kilometers of roads were being built each year, the China-Uzbekistan railway was under construction and 11 airports had been renovated.
The European Union’s exports to Kyrgyzstan rose to approximately $2.5 billion last year, 8 times the prewar level.
Azamat’s figures
Machinery, household appliances and transport equipment accounted for approximately 45% of this. Kasımaliyev rejected claims that sanctions were being circumvented. Economist Azamat Akeneev, meanwhile, argued that the proceeds were concentrated among a narrow group in finance, construction, logistics and close to the state.
