Microsoft has announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop to date. Its 15-inch Mini-LED touchscreen reaches 2,000 nits of brightness, and its touchpad is 30% larger than the standard model’s. Based on the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform, the device targets local AI workloads with a Blackwell-architecture graphics unit, up to 128 GB of unified memory, and 1 petaflop of FP4 compute power. It offers an SSD upgradeable up to 2 TB, an 18 mm thickness, a weight of approximately 2 kg, a new “Magnetic Connect” port, and Platinum and Nightfall color options. The model is available for pre-order in the US, with deliveries beginning on October 16. Prices:
