Huawei included the nova 16s Pro model in the global version of the nova 16 series it introduced in China. Featuring a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, a resolution of 1320 x 2856 pixels and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, the phone comes with a Kirin 9010S processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB storage options.
The device has a 200 MP main camera with OIS support, a 50 MP periscope camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera on the back, while a 50 MP camera is located on the front. The 7.1 mm-thick phone supports its 7,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The global version will use EMUI 16.0; its release date and price have not been announced.
Why it matters
This information makes it possible to evaluate the hardware, camera, display and battery choices of the model that will be offered to global users following Huawei’s launch in China within the same framework. In particular, the high-capacity battery, fast charging and multi-camera setup could help users who attach importance to both battery life and photography capabilities when choosing a phone make comparisons. The use of EMUI 16.0 in the global version shows that the device could offer a different software experience from its Chinese version; however, it is not stated how this difference will affect the user experience. The lack of an announced price and release date currently prevents an assessment of the technical specifications’ position in the market, affordability and when the device will become available in which countries.
