YouTube’s loop feature automatically restarts the same content when the video ends. Unlike autoplay, it does not switch to another video; it does not require a browser extension or a change to the link.
To loop a video on a computer:
- Open YouTube.
- Go to the video you want to replay.
- Right-click the player.
- Click the “Loop” option.
- Continue playing the video.
The feature can be turned off by clicking the “Loop” option again in the same menu. It can be used to replay music, ambient sounds, educational videos, or specific sections.
On Android phones and tablets, the process is carried out through the video settings:
- Open the YouTube app.
- Play the video.
- Tap the video to display the controls.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Open “Additional settings.”
- Enable the “Loop video” option.
On iPhone and iPad, the same control is also available in the player settings. Although recommendations appear while looping is enabled, the current video is replayed. A playlist can be preferred to replay multiple videos in sequence.
