YouTube announced a new feature that will allow users to create personalized video feeds with the help of artificial intelligence. Powered by Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models, the system enables users to describe the content they want to watch in natural language.
Users will be able to create a specific feed with prompts such as “short technology podcasts to listen to during a morning walk.” They will also be able to specify content they do not want to see in the feed. Intended to make it easier to find the desired content in YouTube’s endless video feed, the feature will display the custom feeds created in separate tabs at the top of the homepage.
These tabs will allow users to switch between content feeds that differ from the usual recommendations. Users will not be limited to a single feed; they will be able to create multiple feeds for different needs, save them, and edit them later.
AI-powered custom feeds are planned to be gradually rolled out across web, mobile, and smart TV versions starting in October. The feature aims to make the YouTube experience more personalized in line with users’ preferences.
