The global version of Xiaomi 18 has appeared in Taiwan’s NCC certification records under the model number 2611FPNFAG. The device, which was also listed in Europe’s EEC database in July, is reportedly likely to reach international markets earlier than the previous generation. The first members of the series are expected to be unveiled in China this month.
According to NCC records, Xiaomi 18 will offer 256 GB and 512 GB storage options. The available space will be at least 198 GB and 469 GB, respectively. The device also carries IP68 certification, indicating resistance to water and dust under certain conditions.
Why it matters
Certification records from different regions provide technical grounds to suggest that Xiaomi 18 may not remain a model intended only for the Chinese market; however, they do not by themselves establish the sales schedule with certainty. For global users, offering two storage capacities creates the key distinction that will allow the device to be assessed according to usage preferences. The IP68 designation, meanwhile, provides a protection framework against water and dust that is subject to certain conditions; it does not mean unlimited durability. The main unresolved issue is whether the international launch will actually be brought forward compared with the previous generation and how long the gap will be between the unveiling in China and global availability.
