July Export and Import Data
According to the July 2026 foreign trade statistics announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, exports rose by 2.9% compared with the same month of the previous year, reaching 25 billion 623 million dollars. In the first seven months of the year, covering the January-July 2026 period, exports increased by 3.4% to reach 161 billion 539 million dollars. Total imports during this period stood at 222 billion 85 million dollars, up 4.7%. Previously announced data indicated that exports had increased in 54 provinces, drawing attention to the momentum in overall trade performance.

In July, the foreign trade deficit increased by 13.6% from 6 billion 463 million dollars in the same month of the previous year to 7 billion 343 million dollars. The ratio of exports to imports fell from 79.4% in July 2025 to 77.7% in July 2026.
During the January-July 2026 period, the foreign trade deficit rose by 8.3% from 55 billion 923 million dollars to 60 billion 545 million dollars. Over the seven-month period, the ratio of exports to imports also declined from 73.6% in the same period of the previous year to 72.7%. Excluding energy and gold, the ratio stood at 90.8% in July.
Countries with the Highest Trade Volumes
The highest level of exports in July was made to Germany, at 2 billion 42 million dollars.
Germany was followed in exports by the United States with 1 billion 683 million dollars, the United Kingdom with 1 billion 349 million dollars, Iraq with 1 billion 113 million dollars and Italy with 1 billion 110 million dollars. The share of the top five export destinations in total exports was 28.5%.
China topped the import ranking with 5 billion 40 million dollars. China was followed by the Russian Federation with 3 billion 232 million dollars, Germany with 2 billion 521 million dollars, the United States with 1 billion 889 million dollars and Italy with 1 billion 553 million dollars. The share of imports from the top five countries in total imports was recorded at 43.2%.
