Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said at the opening ceremony of Samsun City Hospital that they were working under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to meet citizens’ needs. Noting that the hospital was an important investment, Yumaklı said investments were also continuing to ensure access to reliable food and strengthen agricultural infrastructure.
Yumaklı said the total value of investments and support in Samsun had reached 108 billion lira over the past 24 years, adding that crop production in the city had increased by 32%, while its livestock assets and beekeeping production had risen by 19%. Noting that support had been provided for 14 thousand projects under ORKÖY, Yumaklı said the 12.5 billion-lira package published in the Official Gazette would provide 11.3 billion lira for 3 thousand 180 projects and 1.2 billion lira for 2 thousand 47 agricultural irrigation projects. He said that, under the package, 1751 of the 2 thousand 164 family farming projects had been allocated to young and women entrepreneurs, and that the investments would generate approximately 20 billion lira in additional investment. Yumaklı said Samsun’s annual agricultural output had reached 45 billion lira, adding that TMO was monitoring the market for hazelnuts and paddy, and that 2026 support measures had been implemented.
