Those who use multiple profiles on Instagram do not have to log out every time they want to switch between accounts. Once a second account is added to the app, users can quickly switch between profiles and check messages and notifications separately for each account.
To add an existing account, tap the Profile icon, then the username at the top, and select “Add Instagram account” or “Add account.” After selecting “Log into existing account,” enter the username, email address or phone number and password; if two-factor authentication is enabled, complete the security step. Menu names may vary depending on the version.
Those without a second account can create a new profile by selecting “Create new account” on the account-addition screen and choosing a username. This profile is also added to the account list. The profile photo, bio, privacy and security settings for each account must be adjusted separately.
To switch accounts, tap the username on the Profile page and select the desired account from the list. In some versions, users can switch quickly via the Profile icon.
