Honor has launched the new model in its affordable Play series, the Play 11, in China. Joining the Play 11C, Play 11T, Play 11 Plus and Play 11 Pro, the phone comes with an 8300 mAh battery and 45W wired charging. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor and features a 6.872-inch 1592 x 720-pixel TFT LCD display. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1020 nits of brightness in HBM mode; DC dimming and an eye comfort mode are also available. IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications provide protection against water and dust. The phone offers up to 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and Android 16-based MagicOS 10.0. The side button provides access to AI features such as Honor Any Door and remote assistance. The rear camera system has a single sensor; a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture is accompanied by a 5-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
Why it matters
Added to the Play series, this model is of particular interest to users who prioritize long usage and demanding conditions, as it brings together high battery capacity, fast charging and durability certifications in a single body in the low-priced phone segment. By contrast, the single rear camera and TFT LCD panel represent limitations that should be considered by those who prioritize camera versatility or display technology. The Android 16-based MagicOS 10.0 information included in the report is considered a question mark in the council notes in terms of technical reliability; therefore, the software version needs to be verified. How the price and availability in other markets will look following the launch in China also remain among the key issues left unanswered in the text.
