- Gemini can analyze and summarize video and podcast content available on platforms other than YouTube, as well as answer questions.
- Interactive quizzes can be created from Google Docs, articles, or informative web pages in open tabs.
- When a tab opened on one device is transferred to another device, the scroll position and form data that has begun to be filled out are preserved.
Why it matters
These updates reduce the burden of reviewing different sources one by one for people studying and conducting research, combining access to information and review processes within the same workflow. The ability to turn content such as videos and podcasts into study material also broadens research habits that rely solely on written sources. Quizzes prepared from open tabs offer an additional way to test how well the information read has been understood, while preserving position and form information when transferring between devices aims to prevent work from being interrupted.
