General Mobile has launched the budget-friendly 5G phone GM 26 for sale in Turkey. The model comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T8200 processor and Android 16. The phone features a 50 MP + 0.08 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, IP54 certification, Wi-Fi 6 and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The GM 26 has a 6000 mAh battery, does not offer fast charging and supports 10W charging. The 6 GB + 128 GB version is sold for 12,999 TL, while the 8 GB + 256 GB version is priced at 16,999 TL.
Why it matters
The GM 26 offers 5G connectivity at more accessible price points while addressing different user needs through two memory and storage options. In return, the lack of fast-charging support and the limitation to 10W create a trade-off that offsets the 6000 mAh battery’s advantage in daily use in terms of charging time. Features such as the 120 Hz display, Wi-Fi 6 and IP54 certification mean that the phone needs to be evaluated not only for its connectivity support but also for the user experience and durability it offers. The key question for users is how well the price difference will justify the higher memory and storage capacity, and how the charging limitation will affect their usage habits.
