Profile feed
To reduce the sensitive content warning on X, you need to enable the option to show such content in the feed. This option is managed separately from the filter in search results.
- Open X and log in to your account.
- Open the profile menu.
- Open Settings and privacy.
Privacy preference
- Go to the Privacy and safety section.
- Tap the What you see option.
- Enable the Display media that may contain sensitive content option.
The name of the option may be confusing; to reduce the warning, you need to turn on the option to show sensitive media, not turn this setting off. You may need to refresh the feed or reopen the app after making the change.
This preference may not appear in the app on iPhone.
Settings effects
You can access the web version of X from Safari, Chrome or another browser and follow the path Settings and privacy > Privacy and safety > What you see. The setting is not managed from iPhone’s Settings > X section. On Android, the option is generally located in the app’s privacy menu.
For the filter in searches, go to What you see > Search settings and uncheck the Hide sensitive content option. These settings do not remove other access restrictions.
