Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced that two attacks were carried out yesterday and today on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, with a total of 3 people killed and 36 injured in the attacks. Two women, Moroccan and Algerian nationals, lost their lives in the Abha attack; 28 people were injured, including Bangladeshi and Filipino nationals. In the Riyadh attack, a Sudanese national was killed; 8 people were injured — 5 Saudis, 2 Egyptians, and 1 Pakistani. The injuries were reported to range from minor to serious. GACA stated that it assessed the damage in coordination with security agencies and took the necessary measures. Arab Coalition Spokesperson Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki announced that the ballistic missile launch platform used in the Riyadh attack was destroyed in Sana’a. The Iran-backed Houthis had previously announced that they targeted the two airports with ballistic missiles and drones.
