South Korea-based Diden Robotics’ four-legged Diden Spider can climb steel walls and walk upside down on ceilings with its powerful magnetic feet. The approximately 30-kilogram robot was designed to carry out tasks in place of humans, particularly in narrow and hazardous areas of shipyards. Tested by companies such as Samsung Heavy Industries, the system can be used for welding, inspection, maintenance, and repair work. The robot can move across uneven surfaces and complex structures.
