Pinterest has made its “Restyle” feature available in beta in the US and Canada, allowing users to redesign their rooms with AI. Powered by Pinterest Intelligence, the tool lets users upload a photo of their room and add wall art, furniture, accessories and other decor items, as well as change the lighting, wall color and plants. Users can try products they find on Pinterest in their own spaces and replace or delete objects in the room individually.
Restyle can also visualize rooms in different styles, such as “bohemian,” “industrial,” “whimsical” and “dopamine.” The Pinterest Intelligence infrastructure includes Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, Nvidia Dynamo, open-source models and technology developed by Pinterest. The company said this infrastructure will enhance Pinterest Assistant’s AI capabilities focused on visual search and shopping.
The feature was introduced at Pinterest’s annual Pinterest Presents event. Visual search ads and app promotion tools were also announced at the event. Restyle is currently available as an early access preview and will be made available more broadly next month.

Restyle is moving Pinterest beyond being merely a platform for inspiration and product discovery, bringing it closer to allowing users to visually test ideas they like in their own living spaces. This approach is relevant to users who want to see how a product fits with their existing room layout, rather than simply how it looks on its own when making decorating decisions. Associating the feature with Pinterest Assistant’s visual search and shopping capabilities could strengthen the link between content discovery and product evaluation. However, the beta phase leaves open the question of how consistently the tool delivers results across different room photos and user expectations. Access outside the United States and Canada, as well as how it will function more broadly, is not yet clear.
