KRAFTON and Neon Giant, the developer of The Ascent, have announced NO LAW, a story-driven cyber-noir first-person shooter. Set to launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store, the game will follow former soldier Grey Harker as he confronts his past in the city of Port Desire.
In Port Desire, designed with neon lights, industrial structures and dense vegetation, missions can be completed through stealth or direct confrontation. While players’ decisions will affect their relationships with characters and the story’s outcomes, multiple playthrough options will be offered to allow players to see different scenarios. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
Why it matters
The significance of NO LAW lies in the fact that, alongside the action, player choices will determine the direction of the narrative and the relationships they establish with characters. This approach offers different experiences to players who want to see the consequences of their decisions in story-driven productions, rather than following a single path of progression. The game’s release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC will allow this narrative-focused structure to reach players across different platforms. The partnership between KRAFTON and The Ascent developer Neon Giant also highlights the production and development experience behind the project. However, the game’s exact release date and the extent to which choices will change the story have not yet been announced.
