MetropolCard is acquiring a 51% stake in Bilet.com

MetropolCard signed a Share Transfer and Share Sale Agreement to acquire 51% of online ticket platform Bilet.com. The financial details of the transaction disclosed to KAP by Metropal Kurumsal Hizmetler A.Ş. were not shared. The acquisition is considered part of the company’s strategy to add travel technologies to its food and beverage, shopping, mobility and energy solutions. Following the transaction, Bilet.com services are planned to be integrated into the MetropolCard mobile application, enabling users to plan their trips and purchase tickets. The companies aim to develop new products through their user bases, payment infrastructures and digital capabilities. Uğur Yıldırım, Atakan Kurt and Akif Enes Kütük stated that the partnership would provide growth and user reach. Campaigns and benefits for air, bus and ferry travel are expected to be developed, while MetropolCard is also expected to add travel services to its ecosystem.
