Introduction

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Free Flow System (SGS) has been put into operation at the Akıncı Toll Plaza in Ankara’s Kahramankazan district and that work is continuing to remove the existing toll islands and canopies. Entry to and exit from the motorway are being managed in a controlled manner throughout the work.

Developments

Of the 106 toll collection stations on motorways operated by KGM, 35 have been converted to SGS. This year, the system was put into service in Adapazarı, Sultanbeyli, Gerede and Kandıra, as well as Akıncı.

Details

With the completion of conversions in Çeşme, Kaynaşlı, İskenderun, Adana Doğu, Adana Batı, Mersin, Eminlik and Suruç by the end of the year, the number of stations equipped with SGS will rise to 43.

With SGS, vehicles pass through toll plazas without stopping or changing lanes, while tolls are automatically collected from HGS accounts.
