Huawei Watch 6 Series unveiled

Huawei has globally unveiled its new product in the wearable technology market, the Watch 6 series. The series comes with two different size options as well as Pro models made of ceramic, offering updates over the Watch 5 in terms of design and health-tracking features.

The 42 mm standard model is Huawei’s lightest smartwatch to date, weighing 38 grams and measuring 10.2 mm thick, while the 46 mm version uses a stainless steel case. The 46 mm Watch 6 Pro Space Edition features a black ceramic bezel, while the 43 mm Pro model has a Nano-Tech Ceramic body.

The updated X-TAP sensor increases the number of health measurements from 10 to 11. The Health Glance feature, the renewed daily tracking system and more than 100 workout modes are also among the series’ highlights. Battery life is stated as 4.5 days under normal use and 7 days in power-saving mode, while the standard model will go on sale on 23 September for 399.99 pounds and the Pro model for 599.99 pounds.

Why it matters

The Watch 6 series shows that Huawei differentiates lightness, material selection and health tracking across its smartwatches within the same product family. This design brings together in the same series users seeking lower weight and those who value a ceramic body and different case options. The X-TAP sensor’s expanded measurement coverage and the renewed daily tracking system show that the series is not limited to a design change alone. On the other hand, the difference in battery life may require users to choose between normal use and power-saving mode. Although the series has been introduced globally, the sales date and pricing information provided were announced in pounds, so the launch conditions and pricing details in other markets remain unanswered for now.
