Space telescope in orbit

Introduction

The commercial mission aimed at rescuing NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory has failed. Orientation control problems that began on the LINK spacecraft a few weeks after launch prevented safe docking and orbit-raising operations. The telescope is expected to enter Earth’s atmosphere and burn up before the end of the year. NASA allowed Katalyst Space to continue its close-approach attempt to collect data, although contact will not be established.

Developments

Oura customers have filed a class-action lawsuit against the company, alleging that misleading claims were made about the accuracy of smart rings in determining sleep stages. The complaint argued that sleep stages can only be accurately detected with an electroencephalogram (EEG). Oura, meanwhile, defended its method, stating that its estimates are consistent with clinical sleep research.

Microsoft announced that issues seen in some games following the August system updates may be linked to RGB lighting software.

Details

The company offered a temporary workaround in the Windows Registry to prevent a conflict involving the inpoutx64 component.

The latest version of the ASCII CITY project, which runs in a single HTML file and presents a cyberpunk 3D city, adds the ability to enter buildings. Grow Now! Games also released a playable prototype.
