Following the GTA 6 leak, Rockstar sued Microsoft and Discord
Data center server room

Introduction

Take-Two applied to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to request user data from Microsoft and Discord in order to identify those who distributed leaked GTA VI gameplay footage. The company asked Microsoft for the email addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, associated accounts, and OneDrive data of accounts linked to “Cyberleek.”

Developments

Microsoft is required to provide the information by September 4.

Discord was also asked to provide information on communities linked to “Cyberleek,” “CinematicRockstar,” and “Surfer24k,” as well as certain users on Matthew Judge’s editors server. Judge said no leaked material had been shared on his server.

Details

Cyberleek, which began publishing the material in August, had demanded an apology from Take-Two and changes to the company’s policies. GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19.
