Introduction

Although it is possible to produce your own clog with a 3D printer, the process can be costly and challenging because the shoe is a large object. TPU 90A is recommended for hardness during production, while PLA is recommended for the support structure because it adheres less to flexible filaments; this requires a printer with dual nozzles or multiple tool heads.

Developments

Because TPU is sensitive to moisture, it is important to keep it dry and configure the printer settings carefully. A 15% gyroid infill provides the flexibility suitable for the shoe.

Details

Although PETG is compatible with some filaments as a support material, PLA is generally considered the safer option. Isopropyl alcohol can be used if there is excessive adhesion to the print bed.
