Platform making product discovery in e-commerce easier with AI-powered visual search: Youzu.ai
Bright living room with modern furniture

Founded in 2025 by Azerbaijani-born Nail Valiyev, Berlin-based Youzu.ai offers visual search and artificial intelligence tools for e-commerce through a single API. The platform provides features including finding similar products with Youzu Lens, smart recommendations, catalog enrichment, room visualization, background generation, and converting 2D photos into 3D models. Users can try out decoration with a photo of an empty room; the products shown are matched with purchasing options. Initially focused on furniture and home decor, the technology can also scale to the fashion, marketplace, listings, and real estate sectors. The company announced that Vivre’s conversion rate increased by 30% and its average order value by 20% in February 2026 using its room analysis tools. The company, which received investment from Azerbaijan-founded Caucasus Ventures, did not disclose the value of the round. Valiyev previously organized Startup Weekend, founded SUP VC, and worked at Qt Group.

Why it matters

Youzu.ai’s approach is significant because it brings together, within the same infrastructure, tools that enable products in e-commerce to be discovered not only through text and category information but also through visual context. This could change how customers relate products to their own living spaces, particularly for stores and marketplaces selling furniture and home decor; fashion, listings, and real estate platforms have similar use cases. The results announced at Vivre show that the technology produced measurements linked to sales behavior in at least one customer example, but it is unclear to what extent this can be applied to different businesses. The fact that the amount of the Caucasus Ventures investment was not disclosed also makes it more difficult to assess the financial scope of the company’s growth plans.
