Dyson introduced more than 11 new products at its Dyson Unveiled event in Berlin, without officially participating in IFA 2026. Computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning stood out across its air purifiers, robot vacuums, floor-cleaning and hair-care products. CameraJet detects the gumline and directs water jets, while Airsmooth measures temperature 100 times per second. The event’s biggest product was the $1,099 HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+. Available in three sizes, the device aims to send air across large areas and reduce noise with its directional outlet, while capturing gases and breaking down formaldehyde with a three-stage filter. Dyson will carry the design over to other air products in the future. The R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV model in the Nurovi series uses wet-and-dry cleaning, UV light and artificial intelligence to recognize approximately 200 different types of substances and objects. The model will go on sale on September 15 for $1,199.
Why it matters
Dyson’s new products show that artificial intelligence and computer vision in home appliances are becoming part of not only automated functions but also cleaning and air-management decisions. This approach is particularly relevant to users who expect devices to sense their surroundings and adapt their operation, especially in air quality, floor cleaning and personal care. HushJet’s goal of filtering gases and breaking down formaldehyde offers a use case for air purifiers that goes beyond simply capturing particles. Nurovi’s ability to recognize different substances and objects raises the question of how significantly robot vacuums will change their cleaning methods. However, it remains unclear how accurately these features will work in everyday use and how high prices will affect access for a broader user base.
