In the primary of the Democratic Left Lawyers, the bar association’s largest group with 26 thousand 206 members, Çağlayan received 2 thousand 533 votes, while incumbent president Mustafa Köroğlu received 2 thousand 393 votes.
In the previous election, 14 thousand 443 of the 24 thousand 453 members cast their votes, and Köroğlu was elected president with 4 thousand 544 votes. Bülent Yücetürk managed only 3 thousand 534 votes.
