Will Smith’s schedule
Although four years have passed since the sequel to I Am Legend was announced, the project still faces various obstacles. In the 2007 film, Will Smith played Robert Neville, a military virologist who had survived in New York after the pandemic; the production grossed more than 585 million dollars. Screenwriter Akiva Goldsman said in an interview with Radio Times that they had not given up and were continuing to work to make the film.
New German steps
Goldsman also addressed the reaction to the death of Sam, the German shepherd, in the first film, stating that no dogs would die in the sequel. Steven Caple Jr. will direct the project. Will Smith and Michael B.
Neville’s next steps
Jordan are expected to co-star, while Smith is also expected to serve as a producer. The sequel will be based not on the theatrical ending in which Neville sacrifices himself, but on the alternate ending included on the DVD. In this version, Neville survives an attack by infected people.
