Lyrical Games and One More Level have released a new story trailer for Valor Mortis, a single-player first-person Soulslike action game developed by the creators of Ghostrunner. Set in an alternative 19th century in which the Napoleonic Wars never ended, the game follows William, a soldier who returns from his grave on the battlefield and investigates the source of a mysterious plague spreading across Europe and the truth behind his own resurrection.
The combat system will be based on parrying, rapid maneuvers, finishing moves, and supernatural abilities. Valor Mortis will be released on October 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam; it will also be available on Game Pass. PC players can try the demo now.

Valor Mortis aims to offer players who follow the genre a different experience by combining a single-player, first-person perspective with the defense-, maneuver-, and ability-based structure of the Soulslike genre.
