SAW: Genesis’ Early Access release has been delayed to the first quarter of 2027. The development team requested additional time for performance and the multiplayer experience in response to player feedback. Set after World War I, the 3-to-1 asymmetrical horror game pits the Judge, one of the early architects of Jigsaw’s philosophy, against three Suspects on procedural maps. Using hidden corridors, a special sound-detection map, gas, poison, and the Collaborator, the Judge attempts to “rehabilitate” the Suspects. The Suspects must collect items and keys, complete challenges, and escape the maze with its shifting routes before time runs out. Traps that cause permanent injuries require players to sacrifice a limb or wait for help.
