TrendForce reported that Apple will split its product launches between the fall and spring starting in 2026. The iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and iPhone 18 Fold are expected to be released in the fall, while the standard iPhone 18 is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2027. Prices are forecast to rise by 10–20% due to higher memory costs. For the 256 GB Pro model, memory costs are expected to increase by approximately 400% in the third quarter of 2026. The Fold’s impact on the foldable phone market is not expected to be seen immediately due to limited production and late shipments, while these devices are estimated to account for approximately 2% of the market in 2026. Assuming a 20% price increase, the iPhone 18 256 GB could be sold for 102 thousand lira, the 512 GB model for 118 thousand 800 lira, the Pro for 144 thousand lira, and the Pro Max for 159 thousand 600 lira.

Why it matters

This outlook raises not only the issue of price changes but also the timing of purchases for those planning to buy Apple products in 2026; the models not being offered during the same period means that those waiting for the standard version and those opting for Pro options may face different pricing and availability conditions. While the expectation of a sharp increase in memory costs forms the basis of the price calculations, the foldable model’s limited production restricts the short-term impact of this option on the market. However, although the estimated figures are stated to be based on current prices, those prices are not included in the text, so how the calculations were made cannot be independently verified. Therefore, the open question is to what extent the cost increase will be reflected in consumer prices and how the split launch schedule will change product preferences.
