Leaked iPhone 18 Pro Component Reconfirms Color Options: Bad News for Those Waiting for Black
Metallic smartphone components

A new component leak has emerged regarding the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which Apple is expected to unveil next week. An image of the SIM card tray published by Sonny Dickson supported earlier claims that the models will be offered in Silver, Dark Cherry, and Sky Blue color options.

The absence of a black color option in the leak drew attention. Apple also did not offer a black color for the iPhone 17 Pro model it introduced last year. The source of the leak told MacRumors that it had not seen any concrete evidence confirming a black color option in recent months. Therefore, the likelihood of a black color option for the iPhone 18 Pro series is considered quite low.

Why it matters

The leaked SIM card tray provides an additional indication that earlier claims regarding the color options are not merely at the rumor stage; however, the image does not constitute official confirmation by Apple. For this reason, the development is particularly relevant to potential buyers following the device’s design details and color choices ahead of its unveiling. Although the absence of a black option is consistent with last year’s decision, it does not by itself prove that this color will definitely not be offered. At this stage, the key question that remains open is whether the list of colors to be announced during the unveiling will be limited to the options seen in the leak and whether the uncertainty regarding the black option will be resolved.
