Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro review: Don't think about charging it for days!
Smartwatch on a stone surface

Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro stood out by retaining 15% battery after approximately 10 days of use. The watch, featuring a titanium alloy case, ceramic bezel and synthetic sapphire glass, was used throughout the review without developing any scratches or scuff marks on its screen or case. The green strap and bezel detail complemented the sporty design, while the strap was found to be easy to attach and remove. There was no loosening, itching, sweating or noticeable wrist imprint; the watch also caused no discomfort while working at a desk or during at least six nights of sleep.

The watch features a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. There was no difficulty reading notifications or workout data under direct sunlight. Automatic brightness adapted to daily conditions, while the Always-On Display feature was kept disabled during the review. Therefore, the battery assessment was made with this preference taken into account. The interface operated smoothly across menus, apps and notifications. In addition to touch controls, the rotating crown also provided flexibility when navigating.

The connection with the iPhone 17 Pro was stable; when the watch moved out of range, it reconnected automatically once it returned within range. Notifications generally arrived on time, but some notification preferences on the iPhone were not reflected on the watch exactly. Continuous location access had to be granted to the Huawei Health app to keep weather information up to date. Incoming calls could be answered from the watch, and new calls could be initiated. Although the speaker was not particularly loud, neither party had difficulty understanding the other during calls.

The Android- and iOS-compatible Watch GT 7 Pro offers contactless payments with NFC support; the current status of supported banks and services in Turkey needs to be checked. In terms of health features, heart rate, stress, emotional well-being, and sleep tracking stood out. The times of falling asleep and waking up shown in the sleep charts supported by TruSleep 5.0 largely matched personal observations. Pool and walking experiences were also evaluated during sports use; overall, the watch left a strong impression in daily use with its comfort, screen visibility, connectivity, and battery life.
