Samsung has launched the Galaxy A18 4G in France, Norway and Sweden. Replacing last year’s Galaxy A17 4G, the device largely retains the design and core hardware while using the Exynos 1610, whose technical details have not yet been disclosed, instead of the MediaTek Helio G99. A 5G version has not been announced.
The rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera without OIS, a 5-megapixel f/2.4 ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera; video is limited to 1080p at 30 fps. The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a teardrop notch offers a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate, while the front camera is 13 megapixels.
The 5000 mAh battery reaches 50% in approximately 30 minutes with 25W wired charging and is rated for 1200 charging cycles. Protection has been upgraded from IP54 to IP64; the device is not suitable for immersion in water.
