The draw for the league phase of the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League season has been completed. Galatasaray have been drawn against Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Aston Villa, Sporting, Feyenoord, Lille, Stuttgart and AEK.
Fenerbahçe’s opponents are Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, Villarreal, Slavia Prag and LASK. Under the new format, both teams will face 8 different opponents in the league phase; the match schedule and dates will be announced by UEFA at a later date.
Why it matters
The draw clarifies the roadmap, in terms of opponents, for the two Turkish representatives in the Champions League league phase. Under the new format, each team will play against eight different opponents, meaning that the matches will be followed not through a single tie but within the broader framework of a league phase. Although the teams Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe will face have been determined, the order and dates of these matches have not yet been announced. Therefore, the next critical information for fans and clubs will be the match schedule and dates to be announced by UEFA. The information currently available reveals the list of opponents but does not yet show how the fixture list will be distributed throughout the season.
