Yeniden Refah Partisi Genel Başkanı Fatih Erbakan addressed citizens in Ankara’s Sincan district and then made statements at the party’s district headquarters.
Criticizing the government’s economic policies, Erbakan claimed that fuel prices have risen by 1190 percent over the past five years and that 82 thousand tradespeople have closed their businesses in the past eight months; in his post, he called for justice.
Stating that the fund crisis must be seriously investigated, Erbakan accused the government of trying to sweep the file under the rug, citing the failure to establish an inquiry commission in the Meclis as evidence of this. Erbakan said: “The tender commissions are over. Land rent profiteering is over. Now they have moved into a period of making a killing through certain hollow funds on the stock market.”
He listed the programs through which his party comes together with citizens as follows:
- Anadolu Buluşmaları
- Mahallede Refah Var
- Köyde Refah Var
Arguing that February 28 inflicted losses on Turkey and the nation, Erbakan claimed that if a Milli Görüş government had remained in power, D-8 could have evolved into D-60. Noting that interest in the party is growing despite the media embargo, Erbakan said their aim is to come to power and put Milli Görüş policies back into practice.
