Uptick rule for short-selling transactions in BIST 50

Borsa İstanbul announced that, in line with the SPK decision, the uptick rule will be applied to shares in the BIST 50 Index that are eligible for short selling, starting with transactions dated 22 September 2026 until the next announcement. Accordingly, short sales may be conducted at a price higher than the most recent transaction price; if the last price is higher than the previous price, the transaction will be permitted at the last price level. It was also stated that the short sale option must be selected for transactions sold without being held during the day and closed through purchases on the same day.
