ESP-Vim is a Vim-based project that runs directly as firmware on some ESP32 microcontrollers instead of as an operating system. Opened with Vim on the connected display, the system offers a file system, git access, and MicroPython support.
To run it, a board with ESP32-S3 or P4, 16 MB of Flash, and at least 8 MB of PSRAM is required. The boards with these specifications include the Cheap Yellow Display version with S3; it can be used by connecting a Bluetooth keyboard.
