Despite ceasefire, Israel's attacks on Gaza continue: "Neither war nor peace"
A temporary tent camp on the coast

Although a year has passed since the US-brokered ceasefire in Gaza, Israel’s attacks and displacement policy continue. Fida el-Tutah, a 31-year-old mother of five, was shot in the head and killed while combing her daughter’s hair in the tent where she was staying. Her son Eziz recounted that when his sibling hugged their mother, he saw his sibling’s hands covered in blood; his brother Ibrahim, meanwhile, stated that the tent was fired upon and that a drone strike was carried out. On the same day in el-Mevasi, 14-year-old Ismail el-Bardavil was shot while fishing about 20 meters off the coast. The Israeli army claimed it had no record of either incident. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 1400 people, at least 300 of them children, have been killed since October 10, 2025. While UN official Ramiz Alakbarov draws attention to the health crisis in the camps, 70-year-old Salih Kilani, whose home was destroyed, says, “Neither war nor peace.”
