Apple is bringing Apple Pencil (USB-C) support to the foldable iPhone Duo it introduced on September 9. The Pencil will enable note-taking, drawing and document markup on both the inner and outer displays; users will be able to take notes without opening the phone. The support is planned to be introduced in the later months of 2026, but no exact date has been announced and it has not been confirmed that it will work from day one. The 7.6-inch inner display will be able to open two apps side by side. iOS 27 adapts the interface according to whether the phone is open, closed or partially open; the Dock, Lock Screen controls and navigation tools are moved to the edge. The Home Screen is divided into widgets and apps, while Dynamic Island becomes vertical and expands for Live Activities.
