Anker’s New Printer Works Directly on Fabrics
A desktop printer that prints on fabric

Anker’s eufyMake brand has introduced a new personal fabric printer that can print designs directly onto fabrics. The device, whose official name has not been disclosed, is expected to launch in spring 2027. The printer will be able to apply photos or custom designs to T-shirts, denim, bags and hats.

The device offers two methods: Images can be printed directly onto soft, breathable fabrics, or transferred onto a film first and then applied to different fabrics using a heat press. Both techniques can be used on the same garment, but they do not operate simultaneously. The printer can also accurately reproduce colors on both light- and dark-colored fabrics.

Anker has not yet shared details about the features or price. The company says the direct-to-fabric printing function could also be used with embroidered designs. This would make it possible to use a cheaper, single-color embroidery machine instead of an expensive, multi-color machine for colorful embroidery, with colors added to the stitching afterward.

Why it matters

This development paves the way for printing and embroidery to be used in the same workflow for producing personalized clothing and accessories. Offering two methods, particularly for users working with different types of fabric, could make it possible to prepare products without relying on a single printing technique. The option to add color to embroidered designs introduces a potential use case that could reduce the need for a multi-color embroidery machine. However, since it is not yet known what features the device will offer, what limitations these methods will have in practice, or how much it will cost, it remains unclear to what extent the cost advantage will materialize. The launch date also remains a key factor determining when users will be able to access the product.
