Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that 69 suspects had been identified in investigations into 97 forest fires that have occurred since 1 June. While 15 of the suspects were arrested, judicial control measures were imposed on 30.
Gürlek said that 23 suspects had been identified in investigations into 22 fires between 22 and 30 August; 3 of them had been arrested, while judicial control orders had been issued for 9. It was stated that the investigations were continuing to determine the causes of the fires and those responsible.
