It has been confirmed that Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley will appear in the third film adaptation of The Inbetweeners, which is scheduled to be released next year. However, it remains unclear whether Emily Atack, who plays the character Charlotte Hinchcliffe, will join the project.
The series’ creators, Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, announced that filming had begun and explained that it was not possible to fit all the beloved characters into the script. The pair said that there could be speculation about the casting. Some reports had previously suggested that the producers were trying to include Atack in the cast.
The series, which aired for three seasons on E4 between 2008 and 2010, was adapted into two films. The 2011 production Skor Sıfır and the 2014 film The Inbetweeners 2 grossed more than 100 million pounds in total. It has not yet been announced whether the new film, developed for Netflix, will be shown in cinemas.
